講者: Heather VanCura
Heather VanCura serves as Vice President of External Standards & Community Engagement at Oracle, where she leads global strategy and stakeholder engagement for the Java Community Process (JCP), the industry’s formal standards organization for Java technologies. In this role, she oversees the evolution and governance of the JCP, working closely with enterprise leaders, developers, standards bodies, and Java ecosystem partners to advance collaboration, transparency, and innovation across the Java platform. Under her leadership, the JCP has expanded global participation and strengthened engagement across the worldwide Java community, reinforcing Java’s position as one of the most widely adopted enterprise technologies in the world.
In addition to her leadership of the JCP, Ms. VanCura supports Oracle’s MySQL community engagement initiatives, helping foster relationships with developers, user groups, and open-source contributors worldwide. With more than 20 years of experience spanning Oracle and Sun Microsystems, she is recognized for building and scaling global technology communities, driving standards adoption, and connecting industry stakeholders around open and interoperable technologies. A frequent international speaker and advocate for developer engagement, she is also the author of Developer Career Masterplan and actively supports programs focused on mentorship, education, and workforce development in technology.
